Whether we are engaged in dividing complex business interests, dealing with the equity in a residence or retirement plan, or shaping the future of a child, we recognize the need to understand the values and needs of our clients and to establish ultimate objectives at the beginning of our relationship. We work as a team with our clients and other professionals to obtain the most favorable results possible.
Our family lawyers have the experience to understand what you are going through and the special expertise to help you through it. Two of our attorneys are North Carolina Board Certified in Family Law. One is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been included among the Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America ® 2010 and the North Carolina Super Lawyers in the area of Family Law. Our family lawyers have been planners and speakers for continuing legal education programs for family lawyers and have served in leadership positions in the family law bar.
There is no one best approach for resolving family law conflicts. Our attorneys have expertise in negotiation, collaborative divorce, mediation and arbitration. Two of our attorneys have been trained in and have experience using the collaborative divorce model. Two of our attorneys are certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission as Family Financial Mediators. One of our attorneys is certified by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers as a family law arbitrator. We actively engage in the mediation and arbitration of family law disputes. Our attorneys are trial lawyers. We are regularly engaged in the trial and if necessary the appeal of family law issues.
Our focus is you. From crafting premarital agreements prior to marriage to the modification of court orders well after divorce and at all points in between in every family law area, we work with you to help you identify and attain your most important objectives in the most practical way.
