BURLINGTON, N.C. – Attorney C. Thomas Steele, Jr., an equity member at Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman, P.A., was honored on April 20 by the University of North Carolina-Asheville’s chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, which is the international honor society for collegiate schools of business. He was inducted as an honorary member at the society’s annual banquet, where he served as the main speaker. C. Thomas Steele specializes in commercial and residential real estate practice as well as estate planning and administration in WNHP’s Burlington office. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and received his JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law. His other honors include the C. Thomas Steele, Jr. Liberty Fund established in his name by the North Carolina Bar Association. He’s been included in “North Carolina Super Lawyers” in Real Estate Transactions each year since 2006. And in the community, he’s active on the Board of Directors of Hospice of Alamance-Caswell Foundation, Inc., is Chair of the Eagle Board of the Boy Scouts of America, Alamance District of the Old North State Council, and is a member of the accounting advisory board at Elon University’s Love School of Business. Steele resides in Burlington with wife Kimberly Hindman Steele and sons William and John Charles. His parents, Tommy and Barbara Steele, also live in Burlington.
