CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Attorney Steve C. Horowitz of Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman, P.A. has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2012 Charlotte Tax Law “Lawyer of the Year”. Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession, After 25 years in publication, it’s designating “Lawyers of the Year” in high-profile legal specialties in large legal communities. Only a single lawyer in each specialty in each community is being honored as the “Lawyer of the Year” and has received high ratings among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.

Horowitz specializes in IRS and state tax controversy in civil, criminal, and collection cases, as well as other taxation issues and estate planning for businesses. Other honors include being named one of “Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite” in tax/estate planning, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. Horowitz graduated with a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Florida. and received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He earned his Masters in Law from New York University.
