|Garth Dunklin Appointed to N.C. Rules Review Commission|

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Garth Dunklin, an equity member of Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman, P.A., has been appointed to serve on the North Carolina Rules Review Commission by Speaker of the House Thom Tillis and affirmed by the North Carolina General Assembly. The Rules Review Commission (RRC) is the executive agency created by the General Assembly in 1986 charged with reviewing and approving rules adopted by state agencies.
Dunklin heads up Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman, P.A.’s commercial real estate practice in its Charlotte office. He specializes in the areas of commercial real estate, zoning, planning, land use and eminent domain. In this practice, he represents various clients in real estate brokerage and development issues, the negotiation of lease agreements, and financing matters.
In April, the N.C. Real Estate Commission honored Dunklin with its 2011 Billie J. Mercer Excellence in Education Award, and he was named the North Carolina Real Estate Educators Association’s “Educator of the Year”. He’s been recognized in Woodward/White’s “The Best Lawyers in America” in real estate law in 2010 and 2011 and included in “North Carolina Super Lawyers” in Real Estate Transactions every year since 2006.
Dunklin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He received his JD from UNC and was admitted to practice before the N.C. Bar in 1988 as well as in South Carolina and Georgia.
