Summer Associates

Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman’s summer program offers law students the opportunity to experience the “practice of law” with our firm as we evaluate prospective candidates for Associate positions. This program also allows law students to evaluate our firm to see if we are a right fit for them. As with any ongoing partnership, we realize it is a two-way street in building trust and establishing a positive work experience.

A Summer Associate is given the experience that he or she can expect in the first few months as an Associate Attorney. Summer Associates are typically supervised by an Associate and a Member who are directly responsible for monitoring the Summer Associate’s workload and progress. A Summer Associate is provided periodic feedback on a project-by-project basis and receives a formal written review at the end of the summer. Summer Associates typically work on projects with each attorney in the office and will work with attorneys from the firm’s other office in their specific area of interest.
