The General Manager of a natural foods grocery store, deli, and café co-op in Burlington, Chris Bartlett, along with the board of directors and thousands of local owners, envisioned a grocery store that would fulfill several missions: connect local farmers to the community, provide local natural food and products, and become a part of the revitalization of downtown Burlington. Company Shops Market opened in May 2011 and has become the go-to place for local wholesome food and a gathering place for the community … and the catalyst for downtown Burlington redevelopment.
